About the release
The 8.6.0 release is the eighth update for Datto RMM in 2020. Along with numerous fixes and improvements, some of the highlights are as follows:
- Account, site, and component variables now support up to 65534 characters. Refer to Variables (Account Settings), Variables (Site Settings), and Variable Value.
- You can now add a new widget to view the backup status of Datto Continuity devices in the New UI dashboards. Refer to Datto Continuity Backup Status.
- We improved the Privacy Mode approval prompt for Web Remote BETA, including adding the technician’s name. Refer to Initiate a Web Remote session.
- You can now add and edit additional device-level monitors for the following monitor types in the New UI:
