About the release
The 8.5.0 release is the seventh update for Datto RMM in 2020. Along with numerous fixes and improvements, some of the highlights are as follows:
- You can now view monitor details in a drawer in the New UI BETA, including configured responses, ticket settings, and trends from the past 10 days. Refer to Viewing monitor details.
- You can now add and edit device-level monitors for the following monitor types in the New UI BETA:
- You can now add a new widget to view local storage usage of Datto Continuity devices in the New UI BETA Dashboards. Refer to Datto Continuity Devices Local Storage Consumption.
- We have released a new ComStore component, Configure Windows Delivery Optimisation Settings, which works with versions Windows 2004+.
Changes to Agent Update Settings
With the 8.5.0 release, we are removing the ability to disable Automatic Agent Updates. This ensures all devices are running the latest Agent software for security and stability purposes.
IMPORTANT Any existing configuration to disable Automatic Agent Updates under Account > Settings > Update Agent Settings will be overridden. All Agents will update to the latest software as part of the 8.5.0 deployment.
